Transparent Explanation of Our Remuneration
Our Fees & How We Are Paid
Alliance Marketing Ltd is paid by energy suppliers for introducing and arranging energy contracts on behalf of our customers. We do not charge customers directly for using our services.
Our payment from suppliers allows us to provide a full brokerage service, which may include:
- Sourcing and negotiating competitive tariffs
- Comparing supplier rates
- Providing sales and contract support
- Managing the switching process
- Handling administration and processing
- Offering ongoing customer assistance
When you choose to proceed with a contract arranged by us, you acknowledge and agree that Alliance Marketing Ltd will receive commission from the supplier in connection with that agreement.
Business Energy Commission
For business energy contracts, our commission is built into the overall unit rate you agree with the supplier. This is applied as an uplift to the supplier’s base energy rate.
There are no separate fees charged to you, and you will never be invoiced by us directly. The price you agree with the supplier is the total price payable under your contract.
The uplift applied can vary depending on factors such as:
- The supplier selected
- Contract length
- Your estimated annual consumption
Because our commission is calculated using your estimated future energy usage over the contract term, it is an estimated figure.
Example of How Commission Is Calculated
For illustration purposes only:
If a supplier offers:
- Standing charge: 60p/day
- Unit rate: 30.00p/kWh
- Contract term: 2 years
Alliance Marketing Ltd may apply an uplift of 1p per kWh.
This would result in a contracted unit rate of 31p per kWh.
If your estimated annual usage is 25,000 kWh, the estimated commission would be calculated as:
1p uplift × 25,000 kWh × 2 years = £500
In this example, the commission would represent a small percentage of the total contract value.
Please note that payment structures differ between suppliers. Some suppliers may pay commission over the life of the contract, while others may pay a fixed fee per agreement, particularly in cases involving new meter installations.
